Q: Do the courses qualify me to practise sound healing for others?

A: Absolutely. Activation 1: The Basics of Sound Healing is an introductory course which everyone must complete first. Activation 2: Group Certificate in Sound Healing and Activation 3: 1:1 Sound Therapy Diploma then allow you to perform group sound baths (Certificate) and 1:1 sessions (Diploma) worldwide, and gain the relevant insurance to do so.

Q: Do your courses cover all types of sound healing instruments?

A: We practise with Tibetan and Crystal Bowls, Gongs and many different percussion instruments. We keep the Diploma to a maximum of 6 days, so training is focused on healing with bowls. We do offer additional workshops - including gong techniques, voicework and drumming - from time to time for a small additional charge, to enhance your learning after you have qualified. We do not currently cover tuning forks, but hope to add this and reiki training soon.

Q: Do I need to purchase any instruments before I start?

A: Not at all. We encourage you to wait until you have completed Day 1 of the Certificate before investing in sound healing instruments. We provide instruments to practise with so you can experience different options and decide what you feel called to work with before making any major decisions.

Q: Do you sell sound healing instruments?

A: Yes. We import high-quality authentic bowls and gongs direct from a reputable supplier, which we have personally visited to verify provenance. All Sound Healing School UK students and graduates receive a 10% discount on everything we sell. We will also guide you to other reputable suppliers so you can make the best decision for your budget.

Q: What locations do you offer in-person training?

A: We currently offer in-person training at the following locations: Godalming in Surrey, New Eltham and Sidcup in London and Kent, and Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. We also offer international training in Gibraltar. Our Surrey location in Godalming is less than 50 minutes by direct train from London Waterloo, and is easily accessible by road via the M25 and A3, close to both Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Our London and Kent location is close to three mainline stations and the M25/M20. A new Hub is also planned for Herefordshire and Worcestershire later in 2026.

Q: Can I pay in instalments?

A: Yes. We understand training is a significant investment and aim to be as flexible as possible. We offer payment plans from 2 to 9 months, and bespoke agreements for instrument purchases. You can also hire instruments to try before you commit to buying (subject to availabilty)

Q: Do I have to complete all Activation Levels at once?

A: Not at all. Many students complete Activation 1 to see if it's right for them, then go on to take further Activations at a later date. The only requirement is that you complete each level consecutively - you cannot skip ahead.

Q: How much does sound healing training cost?

A: Each Activation Level is priced independently. Activation 1: The Basics of Sound Healing - £250. Activation 2: Group Certificate in Sound Healing - £1,000. Activation 3: 1:1 Sound Therapy Diploma - £1,250. If you sign up for all levels at once you receive 35% off when paid in full, or 25% off via an instalment plan. VAT is applied to all deposits and training booked for our Surrey location as SHSUK headquarters, but this is included in the stated prices - there is no difference in total cost between Hub locations.

Q: Can I train online?

A: Activation 1: The Basics of Sound Healing is offered regularly as an online course as well as in-person, running over 3 consecutive weeks as 3 x 2-hour sessions, usually on a Tuesday evening from 7-9pm. For Activations 2 and 3, partial or full online training may be possible for an additional charge - please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Q: Do you offer 1:1 training?

A: Yes. 1:1 training is available at an additional charge and we may even be able to travel to you. Please get in touch to enquire.

Q: Am I supported after I have qualified?

A: Post-qualification support is a core part of what Sound Healing School UK offers. You join a community of over 160 graduates who support each other through a very active WhatsApp group. We also host monthly Zoom catch-ups open to all graduates. You are entitled to a 1:1 catch-up with Becky (Founder and CEO), Tracey or Alex as part of your training whenever you need it. We also run short workshops and in-person events throughout the year.

Q: Do you offer marketing and business support?

A: Yes. The Diploma (Activation 3) includes a 4-hour Mindful Marketing workshop designed specifically for holistic practitioners. This is also available to Certificate graduates for £100 and runs quarterly. Additional 1:1 Business Development and Marketing support is available at a reduced rate for all graduates.
