SHSUK Ltd — Refund & Complaints Policy Sound Healing School UK Version 1.0 | 01 June 2026
At Sound Healing School UK (SHSUK), we are committed to providing high-quality training and a positive experience for every student. This policy sets out our position on course fees, refunds, transfers, and the process for raising a complaint.
1. Deposits & Course Fees
To secure a place on any SHSUK training course, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total course fee is required at the time of booking.
-
The deposit confirms your place on the course and is non-refundable under all circumstances.
-
The remaining balance is due in accordance with the payment schedule provided at the time of booking.
-
Full course fees are non-refundable once paid, except in the circumstances outlined in Section 3 below.
2. Student Cancellations & Transfers
We understand that circumstances can change. If you are unable to attend your booked course, the following applies:
Transfer to a Future Course
-
Students who are unable to attend may transfer their booking to a future SHSUK training course, subject to availability.
-
Transfer requests must be made no later than one week (7 days) before the course start date. Requests made after this point cannot be accommodated.
-
The transferred credit must be used within 18 months of the original course start date. Credits that are not redeemed within this period will be forfeited.
-
Transfers are subject to availability at the requested future date. SHSUK cannot guarantee a specific course date or hub location.
-
No cash refund will be issued in lieu of a transfer.
No-Shows & Late Cancellations
Students who do not attend their booked course without providing at least 7 days’ notice, or who cancel less than 7 days before the start date, will forfeit their course fees in full. No transfer or credit will be available in these circumstances.
3. Cancellations by Sound Healing School UK
In the unlikely event that SHSUK needs to cancel a course, the following will apply:
-
All students will be notified as soon as possible.
-
A full refund of all fees paid, including the deposit, will be issued.
-
Alternatively, students may choose to transfer their booking to an alternative course date, subject to availability.
-
SHSUK will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by students as a result of a course cancellation (such as travel or accommodation costs).
4. Complaints Procedure
At SHSUK we have never received any complaints, but should you have a complaint, we are committed to resolving concerns promptly and fairly. If you have a complaint, please follow the process below.
Step 1: Raise with Your Hub Instructor
In the first instance, complaints should be raised directly with your hub instructor at the earliest opportunity — ideally at the time the concern arises.
Step 2: Submit in Writing
If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, or if you wish to escalate your complaint, you must submit it in writing. Your written complaint should be sent to your hub instructor and copied to:
Becky Barabich
Founder & CEO, Sound Healing School UK
Step 3: Acknowledgement & Resolution
-
All written complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt.
-
We will investigate your complaint and aim to provide a full response within 28 days.
-
Where a longer investigation is required, we will keep you informed of progress and provide a revised timeline.
Step 4: Submit a formal complaint
If 28 days have passed and you do not feel there has been a satisfactory resolution to your complaint, you may escalate this to our accreditation body, International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM), and submit a formal complaint here https://iphmgrowthhub.com/iphm-complaints-form
Please note: IPHM will not mediate personal disputes or issue financial refunds to you.
5. Policy Updates
SHSUK reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. The current version will always be published on our website. Booking a course constitutes acceptance of the policy in place at the time of booking.
